Maine Home Education Alliance Disclosure & Privacy Policy
Disclosure
Maine Home Education Alliance is a nonprofit corporation incorporated in the State of Maine for charitable, religious, educational, or scientific purposes pursuant to 13-B M.R.S. § 201 et seq. Maine Home Education Alliance is in the process of applying for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Any donations received while our application is pending will be retroactively tax-exempt to the date of our creation, which is July 17, 2023. However, we must disclose that donations don’t have advance assurance of deductibility because our tax-exempt status is still pending. Once Maine Home Education Alliance qualifies for exemption, the donation will be tax deductible by the donor for the period in which the donation is made.
