Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers is a puppetry troupe based in Bar Harbor, Maine. This vibrant and talented group known for their unique blend of puppetry, storytelling, and musical performances are comprised of three siblings – brothers Erik and Brian Torbeck and sister Robin (Torbeck) Erlandsen. Founded in 2000, Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers has performed at festivals, schools, libraries and theatres in the United States and Canada. This talented trio writes and creates all of the shows they perform and have received three Citations of Excellence from UNIMA-USA, the highest national award in puppetry.
Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers bring to life a diverse array of characters and tales rooted in rich cultural heritage. With performances that captivate audiences of all ages, the troupe blends traditional folk music with hand-crafted puppets, creating an unforgettable experience that highlights both the whimsy and wisdom of mountain life. Their shows celebrate the timeless art of puppetry, while offering an engaging way to connect folklore with the spirit of the mountain community.
